My Story: Job Loss, Unpaid Dues, and Career Impact After OneVerse Gaming

the offer was withdrawn due to negative feedback provided by my previous employer, OneVerse Gaming.

Hi

I am writing to share my professional experience over the past several months—an experience that has significantly impacted both my career and personal life.

In July 2025, I was laid off from OneVerse Gaming. Following my exit, I did not receive two months of pending salary, nor was I provided any severance pay or structured support during the transition. This left me in a difficult financial and professional position, and I remained unemployed for the next two months.

After consistent effort, I was able to secure an opportunity with a reputed MNC. However, during the background verification process, the offer was withdrawn due to negative feedback provided by my previous employer, OneVerse Gaming. This came as a shock, as I had fulfilled my responsibilities during my tenure and expected a fair and factual verification process.

What made the situation more concerning was a statement made during a conversation with a company representative, where it was implied that sending a legal notice regarding my unpaid dues would result in continued negative feedback in future employment checks. This raised serious concerns for me around fairness, professional ethics, and the long-term impact on my career.

Since then, I have faced ongoing challenges in securing new opportunities, as background verification continues to be a critical step in hiring processes. Alongside this, my pending salary remains unpaid, adding to the overall strain.

I am sharing this experience not only as a personal account but also to highlight the broader challenges professionals can face when employment disputes remain unresolved. Situations like these can have lasting consequences on an individual’s career, financial stability, and mental well-being.

My intention in sharing this story is to bring attention to the importance of transparent employment practices, timely settlement of dues, and fair background verification processes.

Thank you for taking the time to read my experience.
