My Experience Working Without Salary for 5 Months

employees were called into a private room and asked to resign. The conversation felt threatening. It was said that if we did not resign, action could be taken against us

I am sharing this to document what I experienced while working at OneVerse (Spartan Poker).

The last salary I received was for July 2025. After that, salary payments stopped completely.

Despite this, I continued working because I was repeatedly told that the salary would be credited “next week.” That assurance was given again and again over several months, but the payment never came.

Even when other employees stopped working due to non-payment, I was encouraged to continue. I was told that I was valuable to the company and that my salary would be cleared soon. Based on these assurances, I kept working.

This situation continued for around five months.

Eventually, communication from the company stopped. There were no more responses, no work updates were asked from me, and my access to systems like Teams, Outlook, and Keka was removed without any proper explanation.

There was also an incident where employees were called into a private room and asked to resign. The conversation felt threatening. It was said that if we did not resign, action could be taken against us, and that going to consumer court would not lead to anything. There was a gun-man in the room too.

In addition to unpaid salaries, there are concerns about unpaid taxes and TDS related to players on Spartan Poker, which raises serious questions.

This experience has been deeply concerning. Working for months without pay, based only on repeated assurances, and then being cut off without communication is not acceptable.

I am sharing this so that others are aware, and so that such situations are not ignored. We should take strict legal action to get justice.
